and are done settling for a life that looks good but doesn’t feel right.”

The Art of Becoming a Badass

Starts in the Mess

If you’ve ever looked around and thought, “This can’t be all there is,” we’ve already met in spirit. Now, let’s talk.

You’ve done the inner work, and from the outside, life might even look good. But inside, something still feels off. Patterns repeat, satisfaction doesn’t stick, and there’s a quiet sense that more is possible.

That dissatisfaction has a voice. I call them the Doubt Goblins™. They steal your joy, question your intuition, feed off your fears, and keep you circling instead of moving forward.

I didn’t wake up one morning with a crown and a confidence halo. I crawled, cried, and clawed my way through grief, disappointment, and a long stretch of trying to “get it right” while feeling anything but whole.

What changed wasn’t more information. It was learning how to practice something simple and real. That became The Badass Arts™.

So yes, I could introduce myself in polished third person — “Tina Bernard is a visionary founder, spiritual disruptor, midlife muse…” — but let’s be real. That woman didn’t rise from a glossy magazine. She rose from grief, grit, and grace that was earned, not given.

And so will you.

If this touches your heart, here’s where you can go next.

A guided group experience in love, life, and self-trust

  • Before I was a movement maker, I was a woman surviving and healing.

I was a single mom. I’ve experienced domestic violence. I know the fear of a chaotic childhood, the death of loved ones, the ache of loss. I’m on my third marriage and I finally got it right. It took me until my 50s to understand what real love is.

Turns out, love is not a feeling. It’s a verb. It’s showing up, staying open, choosing grace, and doing the work with someone who’s willing to do it with you too.

I’ve saved money, lost it all, and depleted my resources to feed my children. I’ve worked for great bosses who believed in me and shitty ones who overlooked me.

These experiences shaped me, but they didn’t define me. They refined me.

  • I’m in awe of the power of appreciation to change lives.

It may sound simple. It may sound absurd. Until you practice it with every fiber of your heart, you’ll miss the magic.

As an ardent student of Appreciation, I can tell you this:

Appreciation is active. It’s alchemical. It’s the difference between surviving and thriving. Unlike gratitude, which often asks us to feel thankful for what we’re given, appreciation invites us to see, name, and elevate what’s already true.

It’s the heartbeat of The Badass Arts™ and every practice that forms The Badass Method.

Whether you’re interested in workshops, the upcoming book, or the quiet revolution of living life on your own terms, know this:

    You’re not alone.

    You’re not too much.

And you’re not too late to feel those bigly feels of dreams expanding and your story evolving into something fierce and true.

  • My degrees, Training, and Bra-Strap Grit.

I’m a former pharmaceutical sales consultant, business development and training manager, mother of two, a trained coach, relationship mentor, inspirational speaker, and writer with over 20 years of experience in all of the above.

I hold a degree in psychobiology from UCLA, studied psychology in graduate school at SDSU, and trained with some of the most respected coaches in the field including Dr. Diana Kirshner, Shirzad Chamine, and Kellan Fluckiger.

Beyond credentials, I overcame real-life hardships and picked myself up by the bra straps more times than I can count.

I live what I teach. I teach the Badass Method because it works and I’ve seen it transform other women’s lives, too. This can be your Badass story, too.
